Course Description:
This course enables students to develop their knowledge about Performing Arts. Students will use the critical analysis process to reflect on and interpret Drama within a personal, contemporary, and historical context. Students will use the critical analysis process to reflect on and interpret art within a personal, contemporary, and historical context. Students will use the critical analysis process when evaluating their own work and the work of others. The course may be delivered as a comprehensive program or through a program focused on a particular art form.
Aims and Objectives:
- The aim of this course is the approach to find one’s own relativity with Arts. (Visual, Performing and Literary)
- Develop understanding for the importance of Arts (Visual, Performing and Literary) through History and Contemporary departments. (Introduction, theories, Origins, forms)
- To distinguish between what is Art and what is Not.
- How to critique a form of Art. (Visual, Performing and Literary)
- Introducing different Elements and Principles for different forms of Arts. (Visual, Performing and Literary)
- To help the student develop critical thinking and be able to have the right vocabulary for Arts language.
- To help in developing the skill of the student to have his/her own choice of original expression for approaching the field of Arts.
- To develop skills of conveying and understanding the message through a form of Art.
- To develop creativity and exploration of different mediums/ tools to create an Art form. (Performing and Literary)
- Role of religion in the transformation of Arts. (Visual, Performing and Literary)
- To help understanding the need of having rules in different departments of Arts. (Visual, Performing and Literary)

Teaching/Learning Methodologies:
Teaching Performing Arts in schools has come a long way since both students and teachers have discovered that this versatile subject can do more for all involved than getting to grips with memorization, pretending to be someone else, or working on poetry or play texts because the Language Department thought that would be the best way to utilize ‘drama’.
Teacher will help their students be authentic actors, showing emotion and reaction appropriately? Like any other type of skill, student can have them practice. In fact, student might plan to start each rehearsal with some type of acting exercise to get them warmed up for performance.
- Speaking exercises, like tongue twisters and difficult-to-say rhymes.
- Sensory exercises, like passing an imaginary object, or opening an imaginary present.
- Communication exercises, like trying to indicate an emotion without word.
- Movement exercises.
- Body warm-up exercises, like stretching and bending.

E-Learning Approach:
E-learning is not only a training method but it is a learning method that is tailored to individuals. It is found that different terminologies have been used to define learning that takes place online which actually makes difficult to develop a generic definition.
E-learning includes the delivery of content via Internet, Intranet, and Extranet, satellite broadcast, audio-video tape, interactive TV and CD-ROM. The term implies that the learner is at a distance from the tutor or instructor, that the learner uses some form of technology.
With attention to this new system of education that is spreading across the globe its imperative that the content of such study programs are enhanced and modified to serve both the learner and the instructor well whilst dealing with the gap of conventional studying methodologies. Resources Required by the Student:

- A camera to record and take stills. Should be at least enough to convey the message.
